FC-C26/FO-C26FF Tank-less Water Heater

General

Gotairiku Inc. warrants its gas water heater to be free from defects in materials and workmanship under the conditions and limitations stated below.  These warranties are extended to the purchaser and so long as the FC-C26/FO-C26FF remains at its original registered installation site.

Warranty Period:

Heat Exchanger:

The heat exchanger is covered for ten (10) years of normal residential use from date of original purchase.  Gotairiku Inc. will either repair or replace a defective heat exchanger at Gotairiku Inc.’s sole option.  If the FC-C26/FO-C26FF is used in other than a single family dwelling or if the FC-C26/FO-C26FF is supplied with pre-heated or circulated water, then the heat exchanger warranty shall be limited to only three (3) years from the original date of purchase.

Parts:

For all parts other than the heat exchanger, should Gotairiku Inc. determine after an examination that there has been a part failure within five (5) years of the original date of purchase, Gotairiku Inc. will either repair or furnish a replacement part in its sole discretion. The replacement part is warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period.  If the FC-C26/FO-C26FF is used in other than a single family dwelling or if the FC-C26/FO-C26FF is supplied with pre-heated or circulated water, then the parts are warranted for only two (2) years from the original date of purchase.

Procedure for Warranty Service

To make a claim for warranty coverage and obtain service, the customer must promptly (in no event later than thirty (30) days after discovery of any claimed defect) notify Gotairiku Inc. in writing.  All claims must be accompanied by a proof of purchase and registration: 1) the original sales receipt; and 2) a copy of the warranty registration card which was mailed to Gotairiku Inc. within 30 days of purchase.

Transferability

This warranty is offered to the owners of the water heater so long as the water heater remains at the original address registered with the warranty.  The warranty will be void if the water heater is removed and installed at any other location.

Conditions and Limitations:

This warranty does NOT apply or is otherwise VOID under the following or when the following occurs:

  • Where the water heater is not installed in compliance with all state, local and federal building codes and ordinances or normal plumbing and electrical trade practices and by a properly trained plumber.
  • Under improper operation and lack of maintenance pursuant to the installation and operating manual for this unit.
  • For accident, abuse, misuse, alteration, misapplication, fire, flood, water freezing inside the unit or pipes, sabotage, intentional destruction and acts of God.
  • Any damage or problems caused by poor water quality, lime build-up or use with non-portable water.
  • Any damage or problems caused by incorrect gas pipe sizing, water pipe sizing, the venting connection, combustion air opening, or supply electric voltage.
  • Any damage or problems arising from negligence by the installer.
  • Any damage or problems arising from gas and water pressure beyond the range specified for the unit.
  • Where you operate the water heater with incorrect gas type not specified for the unit.
  • For unauthorized disassemblies, repairs or modifications.
  • Where the unit is used in a corrosive, dusty, chemically contaminated atmosphere or other improper environment.
  • Any damage or problems caused by exceeding the maximum temperature of the incoming water limit.
  • Where the heat exchanger is operated without water being supplied to the water heater.

THERE ARE NO OTHER EXPRESS WARRANTIES.  ALL OTHER IMPLIED WARRANTIES ARE DISCLAIMED TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW.  MAXIMUM LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO THE PRICE OF THE PRODUCT AS PERMITTED BY LAW.  THE ABOVE SUPERSEDES ALL OTHER PRIOR WARRANTIES UNDER APPLICABLE LAW.  OTHER LEGAL RIGHTS AND LIMITATIONS MAY APPLY IN THE STATE WHERE THIS PRODUCT IS INSTALLED.  THIS WARRANTY MAY NOT BE CHANGED OR ALTERED IN ANY WAY EXCEPT IN A SIGNED WRITING BY AN AUTHORIZED OFFICER OF TEAM FIVE OCEANS, INC.
